The Backlot Murders Movie Review

Corey Haim Movie Reviews

I've seen about 10 Corey Haim movies in the past 3 weeks...so I've decided to say what I think about each one. Some have been freakinngg awesome and some have been so ridiculous I wanted to throw my 100 calorie Chex packs at the screen.

I'll start with what I saw first.

The Backlot Murders (2002)
(Rated R for strong violence, language, sexuality/nudity and some drug use.)

After seeing "The Coreys" about a dozen times on VH1 and E! countdowns and realizing that Corey Feldman was the one with the mullet, Corey Haim was the adorable one I looked for his movies because I have nothing better to do.

All I could find at movie gallery, however, was The Backlot Murders.

It starts off with some guys in a rock band sitting at a bar. Corey Haim is there. He looks kinda short. That's all I notice about the opening.

This movie barely made sense to me the first time. A rock video is being shot on the sets of old horror movies like Psycho and Jurassic Park.

The lead singer of the band's girlfriend's (Jainie) dad is a big record producer or something. The girl who plays Jainie is the freakin' worst actress I've ever seen in my life. She's got this ridiculous glittery pink eyeshadow.

A jealous ex-band mate wears an elvis mask and kills everyone on the set. People die and a couple gets stabbed while having sex exactly the way another couple dies in another Corey Haim movie (Fever Lake) and it's pretty lame. The guy who plays the gay director, Charles Fleischer, carries around a little dog and he's kinda funny. Everyone else sucks…
except haim, he was pretty good but he only took this part to be getting paid again, you know?
I was surprised he had such a small part. He dies in the least violent way. He could have avoided it, but his character is stupid.

This is the first movie I've seen with explicit sex and nudity.. It was pretty weird; girls running around in underwear and such. They had really nice boobs though. (Fake, duh.)
You can tell the girls got the parts from the way they look. No acting skills whatsoever.

I actually watched this movie twice and I realized I really kind of liked it haha It's so simple and it's the kinda movie you should do your homework or give yourself a really fancy manicure & pedicure while watching. It's pretty funny, and if you're a Haim fan it's nice.

Corey's Looks: They're OK, I like his weird quirks and smiles in this though so that's good. He was still getting off drugs at this point I believe, so he's not at his best.

Movie Rating: I give it 2 1/2 out of 5 stars because Corey Haim is in it and chews celery in a really cute way.

Closing: This is the BEST sucky movie I've seen in my life. It's soooo bad it's great.

Nami Tamaki's hands and Namie Amuro's Videos

I REALLY love the way Nami Tamaki uses her hands in her videos/dances.
It's just so cool. I dunno what it is about her hands. Her weird motions and like...THEY'RE JUST COOL.
I used to think she didn't have a good voice but now i think its SOOO AWESOME. It's soooo clear and steady and just..yeah really good.

I LOOOVE her videos. They're all really differen't and so cool.
I love how she never smiles. She thinks it looks sexy but i think she just looks bored.
Wich makes her look cool.She also dances in a really weird, lazy way.

American teens can be rather ignorant.

OK SO here's some pictures of me, my dog, and a BUTTERFLY i chased around the yard trying to take a picture of forever. hahaha~

Alot of Kids who like Japanese & Korean music
get made fun of constantly.
Even by their friends.

My good friend Willow who lives in NY...
Her "friends" make fun of her daily
for liking Hello! Project.
They call her names.

She doesn't force them to listen to her talk about it,
they justsee it on her myspace and on
her ipod and stuff.

And of course...I get made fun of alot
on youtube for dancing to japanese and korean music.

I've actually had someone say,
"Why can't you be normal
and listen to american music?"

Or they've used it as an insult.
"Oh yeah, well you listen to ASIAN music!"

I'm like..."and?"
I love a bunch of american music too O_O

HAHAHA.
That's so ignorant!
Tons of the biggest singers IN AMERICA
are NOT american and sing in other languages.
the best example, SHAKIRA!
American teens LOVE shakira, who sings
in another language, and yet they make fun of those of
us who like japanese music just because
its not american??

I really don't like american teenagers like this.

None of my friends make fun of me.
They'll be like, 'You like japanese music?"
I say YEAH MAN.
and they're like "cool i wanna hear".

So I have nice, non ignorant friends.
whatever man.

But anyway, I'm really sick of
people getting made fun of for being interested
in other cultures.

Especially if you TRULY LOVE music...
You won't limit yourself to the music ONLY from
YOUR country and YOUR language.

I'm willing to listen to music from ANY country and if you've
got any good singers from Germany or France or Spain...
tell me! I'd love to hear it.

I'm really bad at expressing my opinion, as I've
said before, but this just really hurts me and
makes me ashamed to be american.

OH OH.
Another thing.

When people learn somehow i can speak
japanese....they say
"Ching chong ching chang chao...What did I say?"

I can't tell you how many times I've simply
walked away from someone like that.
They weren't even kidding.

"You speak japanese? What does ChingChong mean?
I've always wondered!"

HAHA.

Or better yet... "You can speak asian??"

I hate that americans have the reputation
of not knowing anything about the rest of the world.

But it's pretty true O_O

My mom grew up all over the world though, so
I've always been taught other languages
and about other cultures since i was really little.
(I've gota video of me singing the Indian
National Anthem when I was 2)

Maybe that's why I'm so open minded.

Now I take Traditional Korean Dance and am friends
with people from all over.

I wish other teens would stop being so
mean.

I dunno what i'm trying to say anymore.
If I was really angry at one specific incident
I could write something that made more sense.
But I'm calm right now hahaha~

Yeah so anyway. I'd like to post rants and ramblings,
as well as Music Video, Song, TV, and Movie reviews.
I don't think anyone really cares what i think about them.
It would be fun to talk about it anyway.
Usually I talk to people like Rachael,
And she doesn't have to answer anything I say.
She understands that I'm by myself so so so much
that I need to say everything sometimes.
That doesn't make sense. Oh well.
So yeah~this is a perfect way to talk to myself
but feel satisfied because I said it. Or something.

I guess I'll post my videos and pictures here too.
That'll be hot.
Something about me:
I obsess over things very easily.
And for long periods of time.
For the past year its been Hello! Project.
But very lately, its been...
Corey Haim.
ok so i love that name.
He was a huge star in the mid 80's - early 90's.
Beautiful boy, really.
He got into drugs and got fat for like a year.
But now hes hot again.
to me anyway.
And I'm one of his 7 fans left in this universe.
Therefore, theres a very good chance
That we'll date.
HAHA kidding.
I'm not really *obsessed* with him.
I just think he's ADORABLE.
And his movies are really good.

19 year age differences are nothing these days.
